Have you ever heard about the well-known boy band TVXQ? Super Junior, perhaps? The extraordinary Wonder Girls and Girls Generation?

I'm sure you did. and If I'm not mistaken, you're a big fan of those names I just typed. But, teens like me prefer cute and YOUNG guys. Perhaps, those of my age. I dislike having a partner a hundred years older than me. Guess what? I found them!! I mean my friend Kate a.k.a Nikishiro Kudo found them.

At first, I hesitated to watch them on youtube but I changed my mind, maybe fifteen minutes ago. I loved them..I oh-so totally loved them. So, here's some goodie-sweet information about the new boy band SHINee.

SHINee is a contemporary R&B boy band from South Korea. It is composed of five-talented young men ages 14-19 . This band was formed by SM Entertainment in 2008, of course. they made their debut on May 25, 2008 on SBS Popular Songs with their promotional single, "Nunan Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)" [누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay) lit. Older Sister, You're So Pretty]. The group consists of Onew, Jong Hyun, Key, Min Ho, and Tae Min.

On August 23, 2008, SHINee attended MNet's 20's Choice Award 2008 where they won the "Hot New Star" award. SHINee released their full debut album, The SHINee World, on August 28, 2008. The first single released from the album was "산소 같은 너" [Love Like Oxygen]. On September 18th, 2008, SHINee's "Love Like Oxygen" was the #1 song on M! Countdown. A few days afterwards, SHINee received the mutizen award for "Love Like Oxygen" on SBS Inkigayo. On October 3, 2008, SHINee was awarded the "Asia's Best Newcomer" award at the 5th Asia Song Festival.

SHINee's first reality show, SHINee's YunHaNam (hosted by Mnet), had its first episode broadcasted on August 8, 2008. Each episode is loosely based on the five boys' meeting and date(s) with an older woman (also known as a 'noona', the Korean term used by males to address an older woman). Each episode featured a certain theme, ranging from a school, a theme park, to a movie set. At the end of each (30 minute) episode, the noona picks one of the boys as her choice for a solo date. All boys but Onew were chosen at some point throughout the series. Onew did come close to being chosen in the last episode, though the noona was viewed with distaste by SHINee. The show's final, 12th episode was released on October 16, 2008.

At the Asia Song Festival 2008, SHINee member Key informed fans that SHINee would be releasing a repackaged album, which will include the new songs, "아.미.고" [Amigo], [Forever or Never], and a remix of "사.계.한" [Love Should Go On] from their Mini Album, on the 30th of October. The first promotion for SHINee's new song was held on SBS Inkigayo on October 26, 2008. It is a dance hip-hop song with heavy choreography, similar to that of their song from their first album, "The SHINee World." On October 30 2008 SHINee won the New Icon award. SHINee released their third official music video for their new song, 아.미.고 [Ah.Mi.Go] on November 3rd, 2008. The title is a shortened version of the Korean phrase "아름다운 미녀를 좋아하면 고생한다" (Areumdaun minyeoreul choahamyeon gosaenghanda) which can be translated as "If you meet a beauty, you will suffer", or "If one wants to capture a beautiful woman, they will encounter hardship".

On November 15, 2008 SHINee was nominated as Best Male Rookie at the 10th annual Mnet KM Music Festival, and won over U-Kiss, 2PM, 2AM and Mighty Mouth. On December 10th, 2008, at the 23rd Annual Golden Disk Awards, SHINee won the award for YEPP Newcomer Album, beating out many other boy band nominees. They performed a medley of their songs from over the past few months such as '누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)', '산소 같은 너' (Love Like Oxygen) and '아.미.고' (Amigo). Also, SHINee contributed to various performances at the end of the year, contributing to SBS's가요대전 (Pop Battle).
